Domainer’s Gazette, once again, going out on a limb and covering breaking news..

NPR’s The World program covered a piece yesterday regarding the domain name ‘Narnia.mobi’ and how the current Scottish owners registered it for “email” purposes, and feel the big ole nasty trademark holding CS Lewis estate are mean spirited asking for her to relinquish the name.

um, yeah. It’s their trademark. And you registered a trademarked name.. simple enough. Time to give it back..

It’s funny, though.. listen to the piece… in several ways, NPR spins a sympathetic tone towards the offender (the domain owner), versus the good guys (the CS Lewis estate)

eh, whatever, decide for yourself.. who’s the bad guy here?

Just wanted to follow up for everybody..

DomainerCon was this past Saturday, and I’m happy to say the event exceeded my expectations.. We had around 20 or so reservations, with a few late drop-outs… and had around 15 actual attendees.

A great group of folks, though. Domainers from every walk of life, really.

Domainers with strong PPC backgrounds..

Domainers with strong Web Design backgrounds.

Domainers with strong SEO and Affiliate Marketing backgrounds.

And, most importantly, pure-bread domainers with amazing portfolios.

All networking, all sharing knowledge. Great Stuff.

All for the low low price of nothing.

We even discovered the official drink of DomainerCon (all new attendees are required to drink one)

We’re already planning the next one, though. Why don’t cha drop by next time!

I’ve been spending more than my normal run-rate on domains lately, so I thought it’d be fun to scrub my own internal list to see if there were any names I might be interested in selling..

one consideration was SEOmainer.com. Basically, the calling card domain for all SEO Domainers out there..

So I thought, what the hay.. throw it on Sedo with an opening bid of $100..

anyone interested?
